Red flags we learned from the Bravo relationship
Many people think that reality TV shows have no educational value, but I beg to differ. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in life has been taught to me by the deceitful and heartbreaking rumors that these people give their “rap” shows. It’s one gem that my university professors could only dream of teaching me even half as useful: Know the red flags when you see them. And no other network hammered that into my friend’s brain like Bravo has.
If you are not running at this time Vanderpump Rules film, the main thing you should know is that it is another classic case of men who don’t sh*t. Tom Sandoval (star in the movie) has been accused of cheating on his longtime girlfriend Ariana Madix (also a star in the movie) and Raquel Leviss (you guessed it—also a star in the movie). Are we angry? Absolutely. But are we surprised? Unfortunately, no.
While this is Bravo’s latest social media fire, it’s far from the first (or last). The Bravo Men have been rocking it for a while now, waving the red flag above their heads like girls trying to get Harry Styles to read their sign in the song: as high as they can, right in our face. Well, we’ve found them, and we’re taking notes to find out exactly what it is not falling in our own relationship. Look for some red flags then of course Take a look, courtesy of Bravo-lationships:
1. They have been deceived many relationship
Tom Sandoval, James Kennedy, and Randall Emmets of Vanderpump Rules (yes, this cast will be brought together)Tom D’Agostino of RHONY, and Shep Rose of Southern grace into the bar–what are they doing? Maybe cheating on their partners. Again.
Yes, each of them has not been faithful in more than one relationship. So when they’re not Prince Charming to our favorite Bravo ladies… she added. Obviously, learning that someone you care about has cheated at all in the past is not fun. But every relationship and situation is different, so hearing them and being ready to work on that is very effective. However, if they are not loyal then many Partners before you come, it’s something you have to think about a lot. It’s obviously not one of the mistakes, so when they swear to you that they’ve changed~, maybe take it with a grain of salt in the world.
2. Your friends show you their red flags
Yes, you should prioritize the fact that people always do you Delighted. Duh! But, if more than one person in your life tells you that they notice some negative things about this potential or current partner, that’s really a problem. know. We’re not talking about people you don’t hang out with, but rather people you really trust, and whose opinions you value. Ride-or-die, if you will.
Both Luann of RHONY and Ariana of Vanderpump Rules have some close friends and loved ones who are concerned about Toms honoring them in the early stages of the relationship (yes, they both did dirty things from Tom…we’ll get to that the second). But alas, the rose-colored glasses are on, and they find out that their partner’s color is real as time goes by. Always listen to yourself, and remember that sometimes people outside (and your best interest) can see the flags before you do.
3. They are a little secretive at first
I’m not saying you should give someone your entire bio and social security number in the month you’re talking. (Really, please don’t.) Opening up to someone takes time, which is fine. But there is a difference between taking the time to open up and hiding things you don’t want them to know. It’s not the easiest red flag to pick out, but it’s a big one to watch out for.
Take Lala Kent and Randall Emmett of Vanderpump Rules, for example. Lala claims that Randall gave her $14,000 to keep their romance a secret in the beginning. Why, you ask? Well, he’s still legally married to his first wife, and he doesn’t want the world to know, really. Although most cases are not this serious (and if they are, God bless you), it is a good reminder to be careful for anyone who holds something big. Whether they don’t want people to know about you or they’re keeping quiet about a part of themselves, that red flag is flying.
4. They get angry at you for things you can’t control
When Lenny gets mad at Lisa and RHOM because of his infertility issue? Or was it when he got angry when salesmen showed up late to their party? Wealth in the land. Those things are clearly out of Lisa’s control, and watching her take the blame from someone who should be her #1 fan is a sad thing to see. At least now, we know and know the truth that such behavior is not that.
You are not a punching bag! When things don’t go as planned, beware of partners who take it out on you. That screams manipulative and premature, but if you notice it’s becoming a pattern, the matter needs to be addressed ASAP (if they resent you for bringing it up.. .that’s all the proof you need).
5. Especially, if their name is Tom…run
Tom Schwartz, Tom Sandoval, Tom D’Agostino, Tom Girardi…need I say more? If you look sleazy in the thesaurus, Tom is actually listed as a synonym. Of course, you don’t have to judge a book by its cover, but you can judge by this title. Save yourself some time. Anti-Tom time is coming.
Obviously, we’re kidding (all Toms on Ice is important to Bravo viewers, though). It has nothing to do with their name, but everything to do with the type of person in the relationship: someone you can’t trust, someone full of excuses, someone who gaslights you… the list goes on. This type of partner is never to whom you should give your time and energy. Look at yourself, trust your heart, know that you deserve more than all that BS. Don’t ignore or try to point out those big red flags—we’re not following in those Bravolebrity footsteps.
