Six weeks ago, a friend called me last minute to meet him in Spain at the end of the month. The trip was only scheduled for four weeks from the time he texted me, but with my eyes set on other trips this year, I booked my tickets and dived straight into outfit planning and creating a packing list. pack for what is about it. to be the journey of a lifetime.

My 10th trip to Spain consisted of two legs: one in Barcelona, ​​​​the other in Marbella. This meant that I needed to prepare both for a full day of city sightseeing and five days of city sightseeing. In the end, I’d like two full months to prepare myself for this big trip—this Rome wasn’t built in a day, after all—but a short detour made me kick it into high gear. and figure out what I can mix and match to stay under my 50-pound luggage limit.

Obviously, my mind immediately went to the red dress and the dreamy long dress -💃 and all – but I wanted my dress to stay on theme without being. too and the nose. My bag is usually filled with pieces I already own and love, but I ordered a few new ones to travel abroad with me and allow me to fulfill my European dream. When I was planning what to do with what was already in my room, this shirt was the first thing that came to mind. It’s from an amazing brand, Lot, which uses upcycling to produce their pieces in small-batch production. It’s one of those things that feels special to wear (and gives my brain a strong dose of serotonin, for obvious reasons).

I paired it with my all-time favorite denim skirt, which is a bit long and soft, but also gives a nice definition to the ultra-feminine details of the shirt. For a long day of walking, I chose my favorite ballet flats, which I liked so much that I ordered them in black. For most of this trip, I chose Celine Triomphe sunglasses, which was a huge splurge and I don’t regret it at all. They pull all my clothes together in a way that other sunnies don’t. Can you get the same effect with similar sunglasses? Sure, but that doesn’t make me love these guys any more.

On a panicked run to Zara (which everyone says is better in Europe), I picked up these shoes when I realized I had forgotten all my flat shoes, walking walk home. And thank God that I did, because I wear them almost every day, and plan to continue doing so during the summer long. They are love good, didn’t want to get into it, and looked good in my packed clothes.

This day is full of walking, so I bring comfort more than anything else. I was wearing my favorite linen pants, which I always wear in the summer months. Unfortunately I spilled red wine all over them a few hours after this photo, but I’m happy to report they survived unscathed. In Barcelona, ​​it’s warm during the day but warm at night, so I wear a cropped button down and long sleeves to prepare for the change in weather.

But honestly, the most important thing in this picture is the clothes. Today, it’s all about accessories, specifically my Staud Tommy bag. I have proclaimed my love for this bag from the rooftops since I got my first one for Christmas 2021, and will continue until everyone in my life has one. I have another one that I use in the winter months, but my orange is a real show-stopper, in my opinion. It’s my favorite summer piece of all time, and even though I wear it all the time, and don’t take too much care with it, it doesn’t miss a beat. (Although it comes with an extra pack if you miss some). My orange version is out, but I’ve had my eye on their 2023 models since they were released earlier this month.

I actually brought clothes to pack on this trip, knowing that they could be the one to make the clothes without carrying too much precious stuff in my checked bags. This is very sad for me, which is a big wearable that falls on the water waist. I paired it with a necklace I found at Zara in Spain, but unfortunately not available (yet) in the States.

I gave my Celine sunnies a break because of these big ones from Quay, which gives a similar effect, and if I am completely honest with myself, it really looks good on me less than one fifth of the price.

This shows my transition from Barcelona clothes to Marbella clothes, which have a lot of clothes that I can wear to walk around town and go to restaurants for dinner. The fabric on this dress is why I love it, but the twist is something I didn’t expect. I wore this multiple days of the trip and wore it top and bottom, it feels more advanced than any other small clothes I have.

When I saw this strapless linen dress a few months ago, it was an instant purchase. It makes me stray from my habit of wearing all my clothes, to play around in a long shirt that works in a way that I think is fun. Bonus: This shirt comes with a drawstring if you want to make it into a tank instead.

These are my favorite jeans right now, and the only jeans I brought on my trip. They’re the perfect pair, super comfortable straight that I ended up going through two washes because I love them so much.

Finally, I voice. I am very interested Sequins, a women’s jewelry founded and directed entirely by hand in New York. I have three necklaces from them that I wear all the time, but this zodiac necklace holds a special place in my heart since it is versatile and can be worn for a long time or twice as short depending on what you need that day. I wear it most days of the week at home, and its medallion style goes well with my Spanish wardrobe.

When I booked my trip, I immediately dreamed of having a long, dreamy, 💃 time, and this was it. This dress is very comfortable, but very flattering, since the cut of the dress is balanced by a slightly deep v-neck, which allows it to be the correct number. I paired it with my tried and true kitten heels that were one of my most worn pieces last summer, and of course, my flower bag.
