Lazy gym girl – there are some to try

We all have those days where we can’t muster up the energy to make it to the gym, let alone get out of bed, but still need exercise to get those endorphins flowing. Enter: the lazy girl workout, a HANDS exercise you can do while looking up, lying down, or sitting at your desk. Yoga and fitness TikToker @blonde.ish_yogi takes it a step further, proving you can get your heart pumping without ever leaving your couch. Okay, so you’re not going to break a sweat jumping in the lazy girl gym routine (that’s as much jumping as you can do, BTW), but the end goal is just to move — slowly and efficiently. Did I mention PJs are allowed? Next, eight steps you can take to “play” while staying upright. No necessary equipment.

If you don’t want to get out of bed…

Stay in bed when Dayana Wang leads you through a complete workout, complete with side-leg lifts, knee-to-ankle squats, bear planks, knee squats, and more. Don’t worry – your abs won’t feel left out with all the crunches Wang throws at you. Needless to say, it packs a lot into less than 10 minutes.

If you don’t want to stop midway through your Hulu marathon…

You don’t need to press “pause” to turn on A beautiful little thing just when it’s good enough to fit in a little exercise, thanks for that Vicky Justiz and his bed takes ten minutes. Expect to work your booty, abs, and shoulders with a combination of glute bridges, leg raises, and arm pulses, just to name a few. Before you know it, you will be done and still have other activities to refresh and relax.

If you can take a break from the bed or bed…

Meet Fit of Lys on the floor and in your bed (your couch and bed aren’t going anywhere) for an interval-based sesh. Translation: You will work for 40 seconds, then have 20 seconds to rest before moving on to the next exercise. Think: glute bridges, knee extensions, cross-ups (hello, booty), planks, and a few squat stretches. At the end of the 15-minute workout, you should be tall and lean.

If you want to focus on abs…

Follow along Audrey Komar‘s quickie core burner for the row includes exercises like deadlifts, heel curls, and warm-up variations of leg raises. Spoiler: You will lie on your back for the entire 10 minutes. No excuses here.

If heaven only speaks your language…

Start toning the arms à la My beauty who guides you through 15 minutes of arm movement, kicking off and ending with an arm cycle change. Although the routine requires you to sit down throughout, trust me—it meets lazy girl workout standards. The best? Do it on the couch, on the sofa, or at your desk in between meetings (or go off-camera and multitask).

If Pilates is your cup of tea…

Pilates is alive chilling on Netflix and using her lazy girl workout, Pilates style. Follow Liv in a series of relaxing leg raises and glute bridges, followed by a hip opening exercise that will look great. The result? An unexpected burst of energy.

Give your abs, booty, and arms some love with this 7-minute bench workout Love Sweat Fitness. Knee crunch, tricep dip, squat hold and pulse, and improve your approach to improve posture and your brain. Take this step to break up your workday or end your 9-5. Bonus: You may find you’re sitting (and standing) taller after you’re done.

If you are ready for another challenge…

To make the most of your lazy girl’s time, look no further than this 30 minute ab and scorcher that created. Halie’s Fitness Program. You’ll start with a warm-up, followed by everything from leg raises to lying hamstring curls to side planks. Halie demonstrates every exercise with dumbbells and only weights, so use your poison.
